В восьмидесятых годах прошлого века, ледокол "Михаил Громов" отправляется в полярную экспедицию для запланированные исследования. Общество корабля выполняет обычную работу. В условиях замкнутого пространства, между некоторыми членами экипажа, вспыхивают конфликты и ссоры, только они преданно выполняют соблазн обязанности. Всё было кончено спокойно загодя тех пор, покуда они узнают, что непременно для них движется непомерный айсберг. Чтобы не столкнуться с прохладный глыбой, судно начинает маневрировать. В результате долгих манёвров, ледокол остаётся закован во льдах Антарктиды и дрейфует вдоль берега. Капитан и его команда остаются зажаты в вечных льдах воеже протяжении четырёх месяцев. Экипаж забывает все соблазн обиды друг для друга и предпринимают не одну попытку выбраться из ледяных оков. Однако, попытки одна двигаться другой, не приносят результата. Заканчиваются неотлучно запасы горючего. Надежды избавляться из ловушки льдов, тают с каждым часом. В таких условиях у экипажа команды ледокола сдают нервы и вновь вспыхивают недопонимания и ссоры. Заканчивается еда, питьевая вода, индивид чтобы грани срыва, всего ввек берут себя в руки. Правитель находит нужные многословие, чтобы вторично сплотить команду, ведь в условиях разлада они отроду не выберутся....
